The Club The Pacific Resort Racquet Club is part of the Ramada Plaza Vancouver Airport Conference Resort. The club can be reached from Oak Street or Highway 99 by taking the Airport/Richmond Centre/Bridgeport Rd exit to Bridgeport Road then turning right onto St. Edwards Drive. Formerly known as the Airport Inn, the Pacific Resort Racquet Club was Vancouver's first indoor tennis facility, originally established back in the early seventies. The club operates as a Pay and Play facility and courts can be reserved same day for an hourly court fee. There is no court fee if you are a guest at the hotel.
Facility The Pacific Resort Racquet Club has four year round indoor hardcourts housed under a tennis bubble. In addition to tennis the club has two squash courts; full fitness centre and spa; indoor heated pool with a 225 foot waterslide; hot tub and sauna; outdoor heated pool; pro shop; full food and beverage services are provided by the Benihana Japanese restaurant, Papillon lounge, Reflections restaurant and Gilligan's Patio Bar & Grill; Babysitting/Childcare; Barber/Beauty Shop; Conference/Business Centre and 211 guest rooms.
Programs Comprehensive instructional programs are offered by Head Pro, Howie Jackson and Assistant Pro, Gino Suarez. These include Private, Semi-Private and Group lessons for both adult and junior players. The club runs a variety of in-house leagues, round robins and tournaments throughout the year including the Sun Life Financial Tennis and Squash Tournament (January/February).
